• Entire folders may be processed by selecting the “Process All” or “Merge All” buttons in the select files window. All files (but not folders) shown are processed and placed into a new folder or merged into a single file.
• Customizable character remapping tables can map incoming or outgoing characters to facilitate file transfer to/from “foreign” systems which use different character mapping. Remapping sets are added alphabetically by name to the bottom of the Option menu. Sets which remap characters immediately after a line is read are italicized. If the “Mac Character Set” menu item is chosen, no remapping will occur.
• Optional display of file or folder information in file selection windows.
• Matching for replacement sets may be made case insensitive by selecting the “Ignore case” checkbox in the “Replacement Strings” window.
• Directional arrow or < and > keys may be used to manipulate scroll bars. Scrolling is by page if the command key is down.
• Page Up, Page Down, Home, and End keys may be used to manipulate scroll bars on the extended keyboard.
• Cut, Copy, and Paste command key equivalents or function keys F2, F3, and F4 on the extended keyboard may be used in text boxes.
• In most cases, buttons may be selected by typing the first letter, or command-first letter, of its title. Command-. and Esc select “Cancel” buttons.
• Pressing command-z will undo all changes made in a dialog window. This is like pressing the “Cancel” button, except the window doesn’t close.
• Pressing the tab key selects the contents of the next (or only) edit text field. If the shiftkey is down, the previous field is selected.
• If the Shift key is down when the “OK” button is selected in the “Process Select” window, file choices will cycle until “Cancel” is selected or processing is aborted.
• If the option key is down when the “OK” button in the “Process Select” window, or “Browse TEXT file…” menu item is selected, any kind of file may be selected.
• Animated cursors (like those in the Finder) may be used.
• Pressing command-c copies the currently displayed scrollable text in the online help to the clipboard. If the shift key is down, it’s appended to any text already on the clipboard.
• Processing options, including up to 255 characters of comments, may be stored in settings files for later use. Default settings may also be specified.
